Nobu, co-founded by Robert De Niro, opens its first Canada restaurant in Toronto

On July 30, Nobu Hospitality, the hotel and restaurant group founded in 1994 by Nobu Matsuhisa, Robert De Niro and Meir Teper, hosted an exclusive preview of Nobu Toronto, the brand’s first Canadian outpost, at 25 Mercer St. Guests experienced a taste of Nobu’s Japanese and South American-influenced menu and were offered a first glimpse of the interiors, designed by Toronto’s Studio Munge, and the bar and hostess uniforms by Canadian designer Dorian Who, while management wore custom Atelier Munro suits.
